annual meeting

The two-day CZECRIN Networking conference was held in Hustopeče at the beginning of November, as last year. The aim of the event was to organize a meeting of CZECRIN research infrastructure representatives from all national units (as well as colleagues from SLOVACRIN) and to provide a platform for sharing working experiences across the entire clinical research process. As the name suggests, it was about networking – strengthening the links between the diverse members of the infrastructure and getting to know each other face to face.
Associate Professor Regina Demlová initiated the conference with a speech in which she summarised the past period of the CZECRIN infrastructure and outlined the strategy for the future. This was followed by the first block of the programme and three interactive workshops. These were included into the programme as a result of feedback from last year’s meeting. The request was to strengthen the links between the unit members and to introduce the colleagues of the infrastructure to each other.
The program of the second day was devoted to lectures with discussions. There were nine randomly composed teams who got the task to prepare mind maps or SWOT analysis. These became the basis of questions for subsequent panel discussions on three topics: “CTIS”(by Karolína Grodová, MED MUNI), “How to audit and inspect CT” (by Martina Lojová, MMCI) and “Requirements for conducting a “first in human” study according to the new legislation” (by Michaela Hanáková, MMCI). The teams of panellists included both members of the infrastructure and representatives of the commercial sector brought multiple perspectives to the issue.
“We are pleased with the high participation of 70 person and the positive reactions to the programme and the organisation so far. We definitely plan to repeat the event next year,” summarized Jana Unar Vinklerová, the main organizer of the conference.
The event was held under the guarantee of the Czech Nurses Association.
