World Immunisation Week reminds the importance of vaccination

The last week of April each year is dedicated to vaccination awareness through World Immunisation Week (World Vaccination Week). The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of vaccination for the health of individuals and society as a whole.

The European network of VACCELERATE volunteers
On this occasion, we are once again calling on volunteers to participate in clinical trials, not only on vaccines. “Be the missing piece of the puzzle. This is the motto for the volunteer register, which is now approaching 50,000+ sign-ups.

Why sign up for the registry?
For vaccine research to be effective, clinical trials need to be conducted. However, researchers are struggling with insufficient numbers of volunteers. If you want to be the missing piece of the puzzle on the road to an effective vaccine that can then help prevent serious disease and mortality, sign up!

The VACCELERATE (European Corona Vaccine Trial Accelerator Platform) project, in which Masaryk University is a partner through its research infrastructure CZECRIN, has been in existence since spring 2021. It deals with the implementation of phase II and III vaccine trials against COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.
