CZECRIN co-organizer of the Patient Hub seminar

On Tuesday, October 4, 2022, an educational event focused on clinical trials of drugs and medical devices took place under the auspices of the Patient Hub.

This seminar was intended for patients and patient organizations and took place face-to-face in the premises of the Patient Hub in Prague-Vršovice and was also streamed. The expert lectures were prepared in cooperation with the professional association ACRO-CZ and the research infrastructure CZECRIN. The all-day program included information on the history of drug research and the current rules and conditions for the implementation of clinical trials. The seminar also covered the path of medicines from their development to the patient, including information on pricing and reimbursement. As part of the broad discussion, the question of the patient’s rights and obligations, the benefits and risks of the patient’s involvement in the clinical trial and the role of the patient in the planning of the clinical trial was opened.
