CZECRIN at the psychopharmacology conference

On 11-15 January 2023, the 65th Czech-Slovak Psychopharmacological Conference took place in Mariánské Lázně with the motto “New goals of psychopharmacotherapy”. The conference programme included a symposium entitled “Who is the bearer of innovations in medicine – academia or industry?“. The host was prof. MUDr. Tomáš Kašpárek, Ph. D. (Head of the Psychiatric Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospital Brno and Vice-Dean for Science and Doctoral Studies of the Faculty of Medicine MUNI).

The CZECRIN research infrastructure also had its presentation here. Jana Unar Vinklerová presented the activities of this research network and described the possibilities of mutual cooperation between CZECRIN and researchers.

Karolína Kašparová (LF MU) gave another presentation focused on the transfer between research and practice. Jaroslav Vydlák outlined the topic of support for academic/non-commercial research from the pharmaceutical industry. The symposium was concluded by Professor Horáček, who shared his experience with the implementation of an academic clinical trial and highlighted the support, cooperation and assistance of the CZECRIN research infrastructure.

Even though the symposium was held on Friday afternoon, a large number of researchers showed interest in the event and had a lively discussion on the topics presented in the final debate.
