Projects and cooperation

All CZECRIN’s scientific and research activities are focused on bringing new treatment options closer to patients.

Scientific research activities

CZECRIN is by its nature a research infrastructure focused on clinical research, clinical trials and patient-oriented medicine. The results of research and development are both published activities and non-published – applied results. All activities are directed towards the support and development of non-commercial clinical trials generating independent evidence-based data leading to the development of new therapies or products, optimization of drug use and individual dosing in standard treatment algorithms, personalized drug development and individual patient treatment; proposals for updating clinical best practices and new diagnostic options

CZECRIN implements scientific and research projects at national and international level.

Applied research results

CZECRIN’s research activities do not stop at the design and implementation of clinical trials. They also include applied results that are generated at the interface of basic, translational and clinical research and are aimed at direct use in clinical practice. These outputs represent concrete examples of the translation of research knowledge into healthcare – from the development of diagnostic procedures and medicines to their clinical evaluation, regulatory process and implementation in practice.

Publications

Publications are an important parameter of scientific excellence alongside clinical trials, new products and other applied results. It is important to note that the results of clinical trials can only be expected once they have been completed. Clinical trial projects are inherently long term research and the average time for clinical trials to be completed followed by publication of results is 3-7 years. During this time, most results are protected. The results of clinical research may be published concurrently in an ongoing study only as interim research results. CZECRIN publications also cover methodological papers, papers describing CEZRCIN’s infrastructure and portfolio of services, and qualitative and quantitative outputs for its target groups.
