TRIANGLE at the launch event for the Czech-Swiss Research
Infrastructure | September 16, 2026 | Prague

The event brought together Czech and Swiss project teams as well as representatives of the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports and the Swiss Embassy. This created an opportunity to present the funded projects, share knowledge, and strengthen Czech-Swiss cooperation.

Jitka Rychlíčková presented the TRIANGLE project, outlining its main objectives, expected outcomes, and overall impact. She was joined by Lenka Součková and Barbora Ježková from the Czech part of the team, along with Lucie Janíčková, who represented the Swiss side, thereby highlighting the value of close Czech-Swiss cooperation.

Through collaboration between the CZECRIN network and the Swiss Clinical Trial Organization (SCTO), the TRIANGLE project aims to strengthen the clinical research environment through the exchange of expertise, training, and closer Czech-Swiss cooperation.

We at CZECRIN were pleased to welcome Anna Pasková and Matthias Bachmann from the Swiss Embassy in the Czech Republic for an informal discussion about the TRIANGLE project and its progress to date, planned outcomes, upcoming activities, and our approach to engaging both experts and the general public.

We also exchanged views on the challenges we faced in the early stages of the project.

ICTD2026 in Prague was a special moment for the TRIANGLE project: it was our first opportunity to meet in person as a consortium.

The TRIANGLE project strengthens capacity in the field of clinical research through education, innovation, and international collaboration. The project brings together CZECRIN and the Swiss Clinical Trial Organization and combines professional training, regulatory expertise, and patient engagement to support high-quality clinical trials, with support from the Swiss-Czech Cooperation Program and the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports of the Czech Republic (MŠMT).

The in-person meeting of the entire consortium allowed us to strengthen our collaboration, build more personal relationships, and share ideas in a highly productive environment. We held productive brainstorming sessions regarding upcoming tasks and agreed on the next steps.

The Triangle Project

is a joint initiative of the Czech Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (CZECRIN) and the Swiss Clinical Trial Organization (SCTO), both of which are members of ECRIN-ERIC. The project aims to strengthen clinical research capacity through education, innovation, and international collaboration.

By combining educational activities, regulatory expertise, and patient involvement, TRIANGLE supports the development of high-quality clinical trials and contributes to the advancement of the European Research Area.
