The second edition of the CZECRIN Networking Conference once again brought together representatives of the CZECRIN research infrastructure
Just like last year, the two-day CZECRIN Networking conference was held in Hustopeče near Brno at the beginning of November. The aim of the event was to organize a meeting of representatives of the CZECRIN research infrastructure from all national branches (as well as colleagues from SLOVACRIN) and to provide a platform for sharing working experiences across the entire clinical research process.
As the name suggests, it was about networking, i.e. strengthening the links between the individual members of the infrastructure and their interconnection. Some colleagues were finally able to meet face to face, although they work together remotely on a daily basis.
Associate Professor Demlová opened the conference programme with a speech in which she summarised the past period of infrastructure CZECRIN and outlined the strategy for the future. This was followed by the first block of the programme – three interactive workshops. These were included in the programme based on feedback from last year’s meeting. There was a need and interest for more intensive communication between the representatives, with the aim of strengthening the links between the sites and familiarising the infrastructure members with each other.
On the second day, a block of lectures with discussions was scheduled. Nine randomly selected teams had the task of preparing mind maps or SWOT analyses, which served as a basis for the questions for the subsequent panel discussions. Three topics were presented and then discussed in detail.CTIS” led by Karolina Grodova (LF MU), “How to audit and inspect KH” presented by Martina Lojová (MOU) and Michaela Hanáková (MOU) presented the panel “Requirements for conducting a “first in human” study under the new legislation”. The panelist teams included members of the infrastructure and commercial sector, bringing multiple perspectives to the issue.
“We are very pleased with the high turnout of 70 people and the positive reactions to the programme and the organisation of the event so far. We are definitely planning to repeat the event again next autumn,” summarizes the main organizer of the conference Jana Unar Vinklerová.
The event was held under the guarantee of Czech Nurses Association.
