Bringing Experts Together for the Future of Cancer Research

As part of this year’s Prague ONCO conference, a meeting was held for members of the Disease Oriented Network (DONET) ONCO CZECRIN, led by Assoc. Prof. Radka Obermannová of the Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute (MOÚ). The meeting focused on sharing experiences, strengthening collaboration, and defining the next steps in cancer research.

Highlights of the meeting:
🔹 GENESIS – Project Management Update, which provided an overview of key activities and project developments.
🔹 An interim analysis of current studies offered important insights for the future direction of the research.
🔹 The PRIME-ROSE collaboration sparked a discussion about new opportunities for connecting experts and institutions.
🔹 Fertility in young patients with GI tumors—a critical topic for improving long-term quality of life.
🔹 An update on CZECRIN|onco projects, including GastroPET II, NeoART, OncoScreen, and ScrePan, highlighted progress and future challenges.

The meeting confirmed that sharing expertise, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a shared vision can significantly advance cancer research. We thank all participants for the inspiring discussion and look forward to future collaborative activities!
