Innovation in clinical research was the main theme of the International Clinical Trials Day conference

Budapest: This year’s ECRIN conference to celebrate International Clinical Trials Day (20 May) focused on innovation in clinical research. The expert conference was organised by the Hungarian HECRIN infrastructure, represented by Prof. Gábor L. Kovácz in collaboration with ECRIN (Prof. Jacques Demotes) on 14-15 May 2018.

The conference was attended by more than 100 experts from all over Europe, including representatives of CZECRIN infrastructure (Czech infrastructure was represented by doc. Regina Demlová), who actively discussed the need for mutual international cooperation in the implementation of multicentre randomized prospective clinical trials, for which The European Research Infrastructure ECRIN makes a significant contribution. Analyses of the European Commission shows that when ECRIN is part of a consortium, the success rate increases in obtaining international H2020 funding.
