ICTD 2025 in Madrid
📅 International Clinical Trials Day (ICTD) 2025
We are pleased to announce that ICTD 2025, with the theme “𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬: 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞”, will be held on 20. May 2025, under the auspices of ECRIN (European Clinical Research Network) and the Spanish Clinical Research Network (SCReN) in Madrid!
About ICTD
ICTD was founded in 2005 by ECRIN to promote international clinical research in Europe and brings together a wide range of stakeholders from across Europe and beyond. This includes patients, health policy experts, clinical researchers, health professionals and citizens working together on key issues in international clinical trials.
We celebrate this day in honour of pioneer James Lind and his landmark clinical study of sailors suffering from scurvy on 20 May 1747, which laid the foundations for modern clinical research. Each year ECRIN celebrates this legacy by exploring a new and important topic in clinical research.
This year’s theme:
The need for greater inclusivity in clinical trials is more urgent than ever. ICTD 2025 will highlight the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in clinical research, providing concrete examples of progress made and discussing remaining challenges.
