Mission CZECRIN | PERI
Our mission is to create a scientific foundation for clinical research that makes a direct contribution to evidence-based medicine in the preventive and curative care of mother and child.
We support personalized medicine in perinatology and research linking clinical practice with new findings from clinical research.
The CZECRIN | PERI network strengthens collaboration between perinatology centres, shares professional capacities and provides expert support in the design, preparation, implementation and evaluation of academic clinical trials.
CZECRIN Vision | PERI
- To initiate and support excellent clinical research in perinatology and fetomaternal medicine
- Create an environment for interdisciplinary collaboration, data sharing between perinatology centres and the implementation of multicentre clinical trials
- To develop research aimed at optimising the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to major obstetric syndromes, including a personalised approach
- To determine the minimum and optimal clinical, demographic and laboratory data sets for perinatology clinical research in the Czech Republic
- Promote the implementation of scientific knowledge into clinical practice and improve maternal and newborn care outcomes
CZECRIN | PERI is a disease oriented network
whose aim is to support the creation, implementation and development of academic clinical trials in the field of perinatology and fetomaternal medicine – from protocol design to the implementation of clinical trial results into clinical practice.
The network was established in 2024 with the aim to systematically develop academic clinical research focused on pregnancy, childbirth and neonatal care and to connect experts from perinatology centres across the Czech Republic.
CZECRIN | PERI operates under the leadership of Prof. Marian Kacerovský, M.D., Ph.D., President of the Czech Gynaecological and Obstetric Society of the Czech Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, who is one of the most important personalities of Czech and international perinatology. The network responds to the need to improve the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the so called “perinatal diseases”. major obstetric syndromes and supports research on personalized care in perinatology. CZECRIN | PERI connects clinical and academic institutions, research teams and professionals who want to actively participate in clinical trials in maternal and child care.
