It strengthens national capacity in bioinformatics, machine learning and real-world data exploitation and ensures quality research data management in line with FAIR principles and GDPR requirements.

Data support for clinical research across its lifecycle

The Data Science Unit (DSU) strengthens national capacity in bioinformatics, machine learning and real-world data in clinical research. It focuses on high-quality research data management and analysis, standardisation and responsible use across research institutions.

DSU’s activities are based on the principles of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable), GDPR-compliant data management and the application of modern analytical and predictive methods.

DSU supports research teams in the design, implementation and evaluation of clinical trials and contributes to improving the quality, efficiency and reproducibility of clinical research.
