CZECRIN Cooperation Network
A network of institutions, expert teams and support capacities for coordinated academic clinical research in the Czech Republic.
Involvement of institutions and the CZECRIN cooperation network
CZECRIN connects healthcare providers, specialised centres, academic institutions, research teams and professional capacities across the Czech Republic to develop high quality multicentre academic clinical research.
The aim of this platform is to transparently map the involvement of individual institutions in the Disease-Oriented CZECRIN networks (DONETs) and at the same time to support effective interinstitutional collaboration, sharing of expertise and networking of clinical and support teams involved in the preparation and implementation of clinical trials.
The CZECRIN infrastructure is not only about linking professional departments, but also about providing expert, methodological and organisational support necessary for the preparation and implementation of clinical trials.
Specialized functional units and expert teams of the CZECRIN infrastructure are involved in supporting clinical research, in particular:
- National CT HUB (NCTC) and network of local CT HUBs/CTUs
- Technological units – pharmacological and GMP units
- Data Science Unit (DSU)
- Regulatory and pharmacoeconomic support (RAPHe unit)
- Disease Oriented Networks (DONETs)
- ECRIN (European Correspondents Network)
- CZECRIN Academy educational platform
- Other expert and support infrastructure capacities
CZECRIN connects the institutions involved at three interrelated levels
Strategic level - CZECRIN Board
Representatives of the management of the participating institutions involved in the strategic direction of the CZECRIN infrastructure, the development of inter-institutional cooperation and the promotion of academic clinical research in the Czech Republic.
Expert level - DONETs
Disease-Oriented Networks linking clinicians, researchers and clinical supervisors to support the development of multicentre research projects and the sharing of expertise.
Organizational and support level - National CT HUB (NCTC) and local CT HUBs/CTUs network
Contact persons and support departments providing methodological, organizational and administrative support for the preparation and implementation of clinical trials.
