Disease oriented network

CZECRIN | ANEST-ICU

is a disease oriented network connecting clinical sites, researchers and experts in clinical research in anaesthesiology, intensive care, perioperative and emergency medicine. Its aim is to advance the disciplines and improve the care of critically ill patients through academic clinical trials.

Mission CZECRIN | ANEST-ICU

Mission Our mission is to push the boundaries of clinical care for critically ill patients through scientific knowledge generated directly from clinical practice. CZECRIN | ANEST-ICU supports clinical research aimed at improving the safety, efficacy and quality of treatment in anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine.

The results of academic studies are making a real difference in patient care – from new diagnostic or therapeutic procedures to innovative approaches to monitoring, ventilation and pain management.

At the same time, the network promotes learning and experience sharing among professionals across healthcare settings.

Vision CZECRIN | ANEST-ICU

  • To create and develop a network of clinical and academic centres collaborating in clinical research in anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine,
  • Support independent academic studies aimed at improving the care of critically ill patients,
  • To provide professional, methodological and organizational support for the design, preparation, implementation and evaluation of clinical trials,
  • Utilize real-world data (RWD) to create real-world evidence (RWE) in anesthesiology and critical care,
  • Strengthen national and international collaboration and promote sharing of expertise between research teams, clinicians and academia.

CZECRIN | ANEST-ICU is a disease oriented network

aimed at supporting the creation, implementation and development of academic clinical trials in the field of anaesthesiology, intensive care, perioperative and emergency medicine – from protocol design to the implementation of results into clinical practice.

The network was established in September 2024 with the aim of systematically supporting academic clinical research and strengthening collaboration between anaesthesiology and intensive care units in the Czech Republic.
It was created in collaboration with representatives of the Czech Society of Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Care Medicine (CSARIM) and the Czech Society of Intensive Care Medicine (CSIM), which are involved in identifying clinically relevant research topics and in applying scientific results in everyday clinical care.

CZECRIN | ANEST-ICU responds to the specific needs of a field that plays a key role in the care of critically ill patients and seeks to develop clinical trials that provide independent data to improve the quality, safety and outcomes of care. The network connects clinical teams, researchers and healthcare professionals who want to actively participate in academic and sponsored clinical trials in anaesthesiology and critical care medicine.
