The event organized by the Czech National Clinical Trials Network CZECRIN traditionally focuses on clinical trials evaluating the safety and efficacy of new drugs and therapeutic methods. The conference is held under the auspices of the Minister of Health Prof. Vlastimil V\u00e1lek, M.D., MBA, EBIR and is intended for invited guests only.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The main topic of this year&#8217;s event was the strategy of further development of clinical trials in the Czech Republic, current challenges faced by research teams and medical institutions, and possible directions for future direction. Following on from previous editions, the issues of accessibility of innovative treatments for patients, the role of regulatory authorities and research funding opportunities in the international context were also addressed. <\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Representatives of the Ministry of Health, the State Institute for Drug Control, academia, medical institutions and industrial partners presented themselves during the expert programme. Discussions included the national strategy for supporting clinical trials, the importance of study teams and the key role of coordinators to ensure the smooth running of trials in practice. <\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>As a research infrastructure, CZECRIN has long strived to cultivate the environment for clinical research in the Czech Republic. Through educational activities, methodological support and cooperation with hospitals, it strengthens the capacity to conduct studies and thus contributes to increasing the availability of modern treatments for Czech patients. <\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>VIII. For many of them, participation in a trial means the hope of improving their health when standard treatment options have been exhausted. But clinical research does not only help patients &#8211; it supports the development of science and medicine in the Czech Republic, improves the quality of care and brings significant economic benefits.
