Coordinated infrastructure for early clinical trials<\/h3>\n

Phase I Units Network is a coordinated network of GCP-compatible phase I units operating at the Masaryk Cancer Institute, St. Anne’s Hospital in Brno, University Hospital Brno, University Hospital Ostrava and Thomayer Hospital.<\/p>\n

The network enables Phase I clinical trials, including first-in-human studies, in both healthy volunteers and cancer patients. All activities are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, ethical standards and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). <\/p>\n

Thanks to the shared infrastructure and expertise, the network provides a stable environment for early clinical testing of new drugs<\/strong>, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies and safety evaluation.<\/p>\n

First-in-Human in the Czech Republic<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In the Czech Republic, early phase clinical research has a long tradition and a stable background. So far, there have been 8 First-in-Human (F-I-H) clinical trials<\/strong>, which have already been successfully completed<\/strong>, a list of which can be found at clinicaltrialsregister.eu<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n

This experience is currently being followed up by another 16 F-I-H studies<\/strong> currently underway<\/strong> in Czech clinical centres.<\/p>\n

CZECRIN<\/span><\/span> participates in the support of these studies through coordination, methodological support and involvement of expert departments across the Czech Republic, thus contributing to strengthening the Czech Republic’s capacity in early phase clinical research. The Czech Republic is thus among the countries with proven experience in conducting early phase clinical trials, including challenging F-I-H studies. <\/p>\n

International Register of Clinical Research Volunteers<\/h3>\n

The activities of the Phase I Units network also include support for the registration of volunteers for clinical research through the international digital platform Volunteer Registry (v-reg), created within the European project VACCELERATE.<\/p>\n

This platform enables the safe and ethically managed registration of people interested in participating in clinical trials, including early phase studies.<\/p>\n

Clinical trials are a key part of the development of new medicines, therapies and diagnostic procedures. They allow us to verify their safety and efficacy and contribute to improving healthcare. <\/p>\n

Participation in the study is always voluntary and is supervised by a medical professional. Those interested in clinical research can participate through safe and ethically approved mechanisms that link volunteers with research teams. <\/p>\n

One of these tools is the international Volunteer Registry (v-reg)<\/strong>, which facilitates information on suitable clinical trials.<\/p>\n
