The OSIRIS project includes a multicenter randomized clinical trial (RCT) which aim is to compare the effectiveness of ECPR with conventional cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CCPR) in refractory OHCA. Key goals of the project include:

  • Driving Pan-European Uptake of ECPR: Updating guidelines and promoting the acceptability and cost-effectiveness of ECPR.
  • Developing a Large Multicentre International Open Data Platform: This platform will harmonize fragmented databases from European clinical centers, facilitating better research, benchmarking, and collaboration.

The meeting will bring together investigators to discuss the trial’s progress and future steps, aiming to significantly improve the survival and neurological outcomes of OHCA patients across Europe.
